All accepted manuscripts must include a Funding Statement immediately before the References section. This statement must:
Name all funding sources that supported the research
Include grant numbers and award identifiers
State that the funding body had no role in the study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or the decision to publish (or describe any role it did have)
Acknowledge any non-financial support (equipment, facilities, data)
Example: "This work was supported by the Economic and Social Research Council [grant number ES/M001234/1] and the European Research Council under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme [grant agreement No 000000]. The funding bodies had no role in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or the decision to publish."
