We actively work to ensure our editorial board reflects diversity in geography, career stage, institution type, gender, and disciplinary background. We are signatories to the Gender Policy Report commitment to gender balance in academic publishing.
2. Reviewer Diversity
We actively recruit reviewers from underrepresented groups, Early Career Researchers (ECRs), and researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or career stage.
3. Author Support
Language support: Manuscripts will not be rejected solely on the basis of language imperfections if the scientific content is sound. We provide guidance on language editing resources.
APC waivers: Full and partial waivers are available for authors from LMIC countries. See our Open Access Policy.
Accessible submission: We provide accessibility accommodations during submission and review. Contact raman@rsyn.org to request assistance.
4. Anti-Harassment
All participants in the peer review process are expected to maintain respectful, professional conduct. Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind will result in removal from the review process and may be reported to employers or institutions. This policy applies to all interactions at journal-affiliated events and online.
